We had the privilege of meeting some of Western Sydney’s everyday heroes — locals who lead, give, and inspire in their own remarkable ways. From classrooms to community fields, their impact is felt far and wide. These are the faces of strength, spirit, and service in our region.

ANTHONY FRYER

As Honorary Secretary of the St Marys RSL Sub Branch, Tony Fryer has been instrumental in preserving the legacy of those who served behind the scenes. His dedication helped unveil a new plaque at Lang Park, honouring the 3,500+ men and women who worked at the St Marys Munitions Factory during WWII. Through his efforts, the spirit and sacrifice of our local wartime workers live on.
